Exploring our connection to food.

One part farmer, one part event planner, a splash of public speaking, a pinch of consulting is just a small part of what our recipe mix would list. With his lifetime of horticulture experience and her proven planning skills, Adam and Melissa bring a fresh perspective to small scale urban farming, farm to table education, supper events, and installation and maintenance of culinary gardens.

Adam Armit
Cofounder, Farm Maestro

In a nutshell, I wanted hyper local organic produce for my family on a regular basis. I often found my schedule too busy, our local farmers market to distant, or mass market "organic" options coming from farms hundreds of miles away and knew there was a better option. With our own backyard as a proof of concept we integrated layers of edible plants and raised bed gardens. After replicating our ideas with friends and family members we knew we were on to something. With a background in Horticulture and a career in Landscape management, Adam is uniquely suited to understand the needs of smaller urban farmers. He is a certified Arborist, Master Gardener, Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper, and Certified Landscape Technician. His mission is to provide the resources for anyone who is willing to supplement and possibly replace their dependence on mass marketed produce.

“Adam and Melissa are incredibly talented and creative. They truly have a passion for gardening and farming and bring an energy to our residents and our community garden. The beauty and success of our garden is the result of Culinary Farmhouse.”
